Iasca Pro/am class

Congratulations!

I haven't competed in IASCA SQ since the mid 90's. I bet a lot has changed.

Awesome. Congrats.
Iasca was great in it's heyday. Speakerworks and the Gates family out of AZ were good memories for me. I loved my mobile ES, Audio Control, Precision Power, JL, and MB Quart combo. Now my ears are ringing all the time.

Congrats Ron!!!! I think I seen 3 Z's the entire weekend. Another MB, a Red and a blue 350, thought I'd see more floating around.

yeah I was around in those days too. I'm an old bastard. They have changed a ton of things since back then, and actually this is the first time I have competed with IASCA in probably 20 years.they no longer use your power wattage to classify you, it's done strictly by experience. Because of the fact that it was my first time competing with them in so long, I could have gone into the rookie class for 2 years, but honestly that wouldn't be very competitive for me, so I asked them to bump me up to Pro Am. Much stiffer competition there for sure, and the highest class you can get into without being involved in the industry.
back in the day, I met Alma gates. She was quite a woman. I also had the pleasure of meeting Earl Zausmer at a show in Wilkes Barre, and countless other great folks along the way.
It is my understanding that IASCA is in the process of breaking into 4 regions, which will bring a lot of shows closer to home for us in the northeast. We'll see.

no pict links of your ride at the show?

RonRizz 05-12-2014 03:45 PM

I did take a few pics, none of my own car, however. I tried to post a pic of the bikini contest (which I watched from BEHIND the stage) and an amazing looking Camaro ss I spotted there, but they are too big to post here. I'm trying to get the hang of windows 8 yet, so we'll see if I can get 'em done.
I only saw 4 or 5 370s at the show, but there were a few older z models there.
