Need help with Antenna Adapter
I just finished my install of a Pioneer DEH-X6600BT in my 2014 Base Sport. My receiver wiring harness is a Metra 70-7552 and my antenna adapter is a Metra 40-NI12. The problem is that I get nearly zero am/fm reception. I connected the blue wire on my antenna adapter to the blue/white wire on my wiring harness and its still not getting the power it needs. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get the antenna to work? I'll attach a picture of the wire harness diagram. Thanks.

Try connecting it to the red accessories wire. Make sure you get the switched wire and not the constant on to the battery. I am just figuring out what all to order for a system and am getting the same connectors that you used so let us know if this fixes it.

wait, the antenna wire adapter is separate from the main harness. if i remember correctly i did not even use the blue/white amplifier wire on my main harness. the stereo should have its own antenna wire lead, usually blue or blue/white (not the harness). that is the wire you are connecting to the antenna adapter.

Make sure your hooking the blue wire on the antenna adapter to the blue wire on the HEAD UNIT harness, and not the adapter harness

That makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I will be installing a system in the next week or two and all this info helps. Sorry if I was pointing anyone in the wrong direction I had read somewhere that the red wire worked so I threw it out there.

The red accessory wire absolutely will work as well.

Measure the blue/white wire on the receiver/head unit before you connect to the antenna adapter power lead, and then after. Many radios only turn on ANT lead power if AM/FM is selected. The current is limited on the ANT power lead so it could be activating current limit if something is shorted on the harness/ANT adapter you are using...Wild-*** Guesses.

Good looking out, though. I've encountered that issue a few times myself when trying to power amps off of antenna leads..:ugh2: |
just for reference, the pioneers ive installed all send the amp power trigger blue/white 12v when the HU is turned on.
