Repost: No app audio in Appradio 2 after DIY install
First thread seemed to lose the messages :/ reposting in hopes this one works.
Hey guys. I took to installing the appradio 2 myself yesterday. This was my first DIY mod on my '14 Nismo non-Bose (or any car for that matter) and I figured if I can put a gaming rig together I can install a HU right? After research on these forums and elsewhere I have everything setup and working, for the most part. There is one major problem I'm having specific to the Appradio... Setup: Appradio 2 installed using Nissan wire harness and stock mounting bracket. No antenna hooked up yet (antenna harness on its way) Netgear PTV 3000 for HDMI powered by USB from Appradio. Stored and hidden behind head unit. Moto X Dev edition running stock Appradio mobile app (also tried ARLiberator and APUnchained, but using stock to solve this issue) 3 prong LED switch where seat warmer switches go, hooked to ground (steel screw near ebrake), tapped to yellow power wire to-from HU for lead, and pbrake green line on middle prong. Issue in summary: As expected, audio comes through car speakers via HU when using Pandora app (phone connected to netgear wireless display). When using App mode on HU screen shows just fine, and touch works great (with .5 second lag) but no audio can be heard from speakers when using iHeart radio (or similar Music app when using ARL/ARU) My guess: The pbrake bypass switch isn't working. The LED does cut on/off so I'm pretty sure I got the ground and power right. But when I open the (ugly) browser app on HU it tells me I must engage pbrake, and even if I flip the switch 15 times in 15 different patterns the message doesn't go away. However, while the pbrake switch may not work, I still seem to be able to use stock Appradio mobile app and ARL/ARU just fine (I was able to use the latter two even when the pbrake green wire wasn't connected at all). Anyone know why my audio only works in Pandora mode?
