Go to advanced, say higher quality audio and that's the best you can get 192kbps. If you do that, the pay version ONLY takes off ads

Sirius SUCKS, it's like 92kbps.

If you listen on your computer use Google Chrome and download the extension Ad Block. This will block the commercials from Pandora, Youtube, and other sites with pop up ads.

im a pandora-one member. i like it. i listen to pandora at least 3-4hrs a day easy.
in my car, off my ipod, etc. :D

the audio is surprisingly good. (i run pioneer HU's in my cars).

ElVee 04-04-2014 02:18 PM

Sub'd! I'm always open to new sources of music in my car, that don't include a new HU and, if I can, not drain my phone battery. (I know, I just narrowed it down dramatically). SiriusXM quality is meh, and the BPM and Electric Area stations play way too much mainstream "safe" junk.

kenchan 04-04-2014 02:23 PM

i stream pandora through BT off my droid to my pioneer HU. it doesnt really suck out that much juice from the phone while streaming.

ElVee 04-04-2014 02:32 PM

Yeah, speaking to a coworker, I should just be happy with the smartphone options. :)

Never been a paying subscriber to any of the other services, though.

kenchan 04-04-2014 02:38 PM

yah, i dont subscribe to anything either. just pandora-one. :D

i also recently got a nice little sony micro-component stereo in the garage where i can stream pandora off my phone too when local fm stations are playing crap or just too much commercials/talk. :ugh:

Everyone talks about draining battery in car. I don't understand??? When I'm in the car is when I'm usually charging my phone.

at least on my car with a droid phone and pioneer HU, i dont need to plug it in. i just hit pandora on my HU and it connects to my phone automatically. i can scroll through my favorite channels, like/dislike a track from the HU.

so i can listen to pandora while my phone never leaves my pocket. which is very convenient in the winter time since im wearing a coat and gloves, etc. hassle to pull out my phone.

If you have iTunes, iTunes Radio comes in pretty strong (same as pandora) but you get 1 commercial every 4-5 songs.

Most inconvienent thin tho is you have a max number of skips.. Which I'm sure the restriction is removed when paid for

kenchan 04-04-2014 07:32 PM

Itunes radio tends to get stuck after a couple of songs after you  them. did they fix that on the latest os update?

Been running pandora exclusively so don't know.
