It is not on the scosche harness that you have to do it, it is on the pioneer harness you have to do it FOR PIONEERS ONLY.
All others you just ground the lime green wire to any metal that is part of the car as long as that metal is not attached to plastic. |
Yes. You have to add a pin to a blank spot in the pioneer harness and ground to bypass. I had already done this 5 years ago when I first put this head unit in my old Subaru. What I was saying is the scocshe harness does not have a wire at pin 18 for the speed signal. So you can remove a unused wire like a rear speaker wire and use them for speed or SW controls etc.

yea, there were a couple wires missing from the scosche harness that I needed. Nothing that cannibalizing from a second one couldn't cure though.
