Yes it will be a night and day difference but do not think of them as 4 speakers think of them as sets one would not sound right without the other.

Lots of speaker chat.....Is anyone the least bit interested what his source unit is, and recommend an amplifier to drive the component set??

The head unit is whatever mediocre stock thing comes on the NISMO (and probably base models too). I had a Soundstream PCA4.520 amp that I used in my Mustang, but I just sold it to a buddy because this car has absolutely no space to mount anything without sacrificing the area under the hatch. I'm 30 now, not 21 so I'm going to stick with having luggage space and a spare wheel.

There are many options to upgrade your sound system that dont require use of your trunk space......If your heart desires. And I'm not sure that age has anything to do with it, by the way.

Perhaps....I'm pushing 50. Its just something I've done for 30+ years...
Nothing like good, high quality sounds on a long drive, why not make it look nice, too?

Todays lesson..How to derail a thread in 2 posts...Lol.
Apologies to the OP. The point I was trying to make is that your components are going to want more power than your head unit can give them to perform at their peak. Its not always about being excruciatingly loud, but good, solid sound quality. There are digital amps out there that are not much bigger than a pack of cigarettes that will enhance your listening experience without cracking the pavement under your car.

Haha, point taken. I'm all about clean sound while still keeping everything hidden. An amp the size of a pack of smokes sounds like just the ticket... any favorites? The lower the THD the better.

you could start with the rockford PBR series. The PBR300x4 is 75 watts x 4 channel, and is around 4 1/2" x 6 3/4".
