Dynamat Door Panel
I've been noticing some vibration in the driver's door specifically when the music becomes bass heavy. I decided to go in and investigate the source of the noise.
Last year I covered much of the doors with Dynamat Extreme, which worked great. This time I covered parts of the inside of the plastic door panel itself. I also used foam tape and attached some to every place cables or wiring were near or touching panels. I also tightened all screws in the panel. I think what helped the most using Dynamat and foam on the white square box in place to keep the panel separated from the door. See picture. This piece was definitely loose and vibrational. Put everything back in place and the difference was astounding. Astounding because the door stop making noise and I now hear other obnoxious sounds going on that need my attention. Right door panel next. Cheers. |
