Need help on Touring w/sports package with Bose no navi

Hey guys so can anyone help me out on this, do I have it wired correctly with the harness and RCAs to the head unit???
Oh and do I need to have that wider piece hooked up too??
I have it hooked up like this to my Z but got it powered on but no sound coming out. Sorry for the messy wire and hope any of you guys have been installing HUs know this. Thanks!

I want to install this myself before I give up and take it to a shop to do it.

Here's the Bose premium wiring harness and the back of the HU. Which colors plug into which??

Baf!

You have to hook up the blue with white stripe also.

So the blue with white stripe will go to the antenna? There's this really long blue wire that labels RELAY.

No, if I understand correctly the blue with the white stripe will go to the factory bose amp to turn it on. The reason you do not have sound is because the amp is not powering on with the HU currently.

Also at the very least put some electrical tape over the connections before this turns into a "what fuse did I blow" thread. haha trust me, i've done that to myself.

So I have to tap into the Bose amp wire?

If you bought the correct harness for your HU you should have a bose amp signal wire there.

Your adaptor should be the same with the following pinouts.

And by looking at the pictures you have the right harness. Essentially all you have to do is attached the blue white wire coming from the harness you bought to the blue white wire coming out of the HU

I can see both these wires in your pictures.

Oh and what about the blue wire from the antenna adapter? That wires to something or leave it?

Just leave that alone. All your concerned about is the remote amp turn on wire.

Goodluck!

It depends on your deck, if you take a look at that second link I sent you it will tell you what channel each of them is for. Simply match this up with the channel on the HU (either printed on the back of the HU or in the install manual).

You want the RCA's connected to the Front speaker outputs (middle ones) go to White and Grey (white is Left and grey is Right)

The Purple and Green ones go to your Rear (some plug them into SW) (green is left and Purple is Right

Check that your blue wire on the antenna adapter is connected properly.

Got it! It works perfect! Thanks Matt!! :D I didn't hook up the steering wheel control adapter though. It looks confusing to hookup.

Hey 370zFTW,
One item to think about is the antenna in our car, it may be powered, which means it may require +12V to activate, in this case the blue harness wire will be the "Power Antenna" lead, in the old days folks used it to activate the power up/down antennas, now they're used to power the AM/FM antennas, some are diversity (two) or single, and some of them require +12V to work optimally.
As Mitco pointed out, the Metra harness should address that with a connection to the antenna if it is powered. If your AM/FM reception isn't as good as before the radio swap I'd look at the powered antenna possibility. If it doesn't matter then never mind!
