370z parameters monitoring system

I understand the HKS Camp2 has been discontinued, as well as the Blitz R-Vit DS or the Magden.1b

Do you guys use / know anything similar to these systems that integrate with the OEM satnav screen / video out through the NavTool which I already have?

Thanks!

No one? :)

There are not many options anymore, since so many cars have in car displays now most aftermarket companies have stop producing them.
The next best option is a car pc, can build a small PC to handle the software & graphics output into your OEM screen.

If someone is technically skilled they might be able to use a Raspberry PI or a BeagleBone Black and some type of CAN-BUS interface.

There's a few youtube videos of people doing this already.

Read my mind, was thinking of the Raspberry Pi but would need someone to do the work. That little guy is all over the place on what it can do.

And for what it's worth my own little pet project:

No intention of displaying the data real time but this will provide GPS, 3-axis G loads, and 3-axis Gyro datalogging capabilities to an SD card. Next revision will included a CAN-Bus interface.

Not sure if there's anyone interested on this but not too long ago I managed to pull all the obdii data and display it on the screen with a rapsberrypi... here's the vid.

Up in Toledo myself. Check out the Ohio G Club on facebook. Very active group of G, Z, and GTR enthusiasts.

Looks good, what are the limitations on your output, meaning you showed 2 gauges can I have say 6?
I know my camp2 limits it to 6 because the average OBD2 output is limited and lags after 5-6 readouts.

1cintron 01-20-2014 09:23 PM

i don't see why not. i can pull multiple data without a problem and the thread that managing the obd2 connection is different from the one updating the UI. i will stress test it and let you know

That's awesome... how hard was it to build the setup for it? I've heard of the pi but never looked deep into how it outs together.

Can what you are doing be adapted to work with an ELM (OBD/CAN-to-serial/USB) interface?
