Please stop me going insane !!!
Hi all,
I bagged myself a 2010 370z GT on Saturday - love it (though the lack of all round visibilty is going to take some getting used to!) - however the audio set up is going to put me in the mad house. I spent 2 hours outside my house when I got it home trying to get the music from my iphone 4s to play through the speakers (wired, bluetooth can come later) - gave up eventually. Came out the next morning plugged phone in and without doing anything it suddenly started playing fine!! Happy days.... or so i thought.... Today I get in plugged the phone in and again nothing but a flashing 'Reading USB memory - No USB memory' Arrrrghhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!! Whats happening ?! |
any help ? Pleeasssssse cos I'm gonna drive this thing into the wall to teach it a lesson !! The iphone sat on my passenger seat playing happily for an hour then whan, it stops, a flashing 'Reading USB memory to No USB memory' starts up on the screen, then flips back to the music for a minute or two before it cuts off again etc etc.
Someone must know whats fooked ??!! Because this is a crock of **** ! Not exactly impressed with the BOSE either, but would just like it to work first ! |
Check your USB wire connection (try different cable) also check the back of the USB connections. Then see if there's update for your firmware from Nissan - assuming it's a NAV, the manufacturer of the head unit otherwise.

OK will do - cheers. Do I have to go to Nissan for a potential upgrade or available online to download ? (It is a 2010 NAV yes)
One thing I have noticed also is when it is playing up, the source button on the wheel only flicks through the radio channels ie doesn't even see Disc/Aux or the Music Box ! (mind you thats no mean thing as the last owner loaded it up with some heavy metal bollox!) Oh next question how do you clear down the Music Box, can't see anything in the manual along the lines of mass delete ? |
I know eventualy someone will chime in and say it, But I will beat them all to it...
If you get tired of the Bose system, which you will with in a week or so... You will want to explore the option of an aftermarket stereo system... In that case there will be many way to go... |
