Default Who all has replaced Bose headunit on touring models?

As the title says i'm looking for all those Touring owners that have replaced their BOSE headunits with aftermarket. I have only found a few people but i need information as to how you went about with wiring the headunit to the BOSE amp. I can't seem to find any bypass module or BOSE interface module that would take the high level outputs from the aftermarket head unit to mate with the same levels as the stock BOSE amp.

I really don't want to spend a lot of time and money to go about rewiring a bunch of stuff. I'm looking for the easiest answer to just replace the Headunit to a doubledin touchscreen so i can install a backup camera.

I was researching this online and found this website that helped me try to sort this mess out since i'm not all familiar with audio installs.

Bipes DLD adapter for bose

Any help is appreciated

Not that simple man, if you change the head unit you have to change the speakers. The bose speakers are a 2 ohms load, which would fry a normal head unit. The speakers have to be 4 ohms. Also they have not came out with the harness to integrate a new head unit with the bose system yet either. Should not be long until that comes out.

That adapter that you linked, might work but I would wait for the real one to come out from metra or scoshe.

Yes I inquired about that adapter and it seems to have issues but not a released project. Just something an enthusiast was working on. I have already contacted the main players in integration as you mentioned but as of yet no plans for releasing a product to fit the application.

Did you use the RCA outs as your line-in to the Bose amp?

Your going to have to replace the bose amp and speakers if you choose to replace your bose head unit. As I stated above no one has come out with a wiring harness to integrate the bose system into a new receiver "that I know of" Hopefully that will be soon. Just a tip though your sounds quality will not get any better by doing this upgrade.

That would be the best for adding a new audio system. Also easier to upgrade than the bose model.
