Pricing on Installing Full Audio Setup
I basically researched Online about different prices on audio install for Headunit, 2 Amps, 2 subs, Sub Box, both door speakers, and two tweeters. Ive been qouted anywhere from 600-950. The pricing i know is different for each car out there. How much would it generally cost for a full install. I really dont want to get raped on pricing right now. Can anyone let me know. One favor though if we can keep this thread away from "learn to do it yourself" ect ect. this would be really helpful, im trying to get this install done very very soon like next week soon so i need some help here.

Typically for basic installs it is quoted by the hours and in my experience it is;
1 - 3hours per item (head unit, amp, speakers) plus parts on single install price. Now this generally is the quote you would get if you come in to have one item install. The actual install time is likely much less but it has to account for incidentals, set up and clean up. So the more items the less core cost. The major cost is fabrication and integration which can be staggering. If it is a straight in the box hook up with your set up, I'd probably charge 6-8 hours work which would be plenty for any competent shop. It is likely be done in less than 4 plus 1 hour to fine tuning. The rest is just for incidentals and potential issues. The best bet is to visit a shop and look over their work. Any good shop will have a nice portfolio for review detailing not only the completed work but the process. In addition, they would warrant their work and proud to show you their install bay. Take your time to have it done right the first time. Hope that helps.
