Sorry if this has been mentioned before. I just could not find any reference to it.
One of the best ways to avoid any of these type of install problems, "Check Engine", "AirBag" is to disconnect the negative/ground wire from your battery prior to starting your installation. Once complete, check all your wires, make sure you plug in the factory connectors, for the air bag etc. and then attach the negative battery terminal. Test your install. Whenever you disconnect a factory switch, or terminal plug that goes to the onboard system with the battery attached, and then turn the ignition on you can trip fault codes. |
