I think the only diff. is the 4600BT now offers mirrorlink. I tried to get a 4500 Bt or 5500bhs but all the stores were sold out. I tried to get a good deal on those but they only have the newer models, 4600bt and 5600bhs.

I dont really care for HD RADIO which is nonexistant in BAton Rouge and I never use Sirius, therefore, the 5600bhs was out for another $50 bucks. So I just made a cash offer including tax on a 4600bt for $400.

I work in the car business so it was nice to give someone else their own medicine. haha.

yah, i dont HD radio either. i tried it a few years ago on another car and it was just a mess with signal completely muting when weak unlike FM radio where the volume just weakens or buzz a little bit. it drove me crazy.

i bought a 4500BT last month new at $249 shipped for my G. it was the last one left over from black friday sale. lol i think it was maybe a return item cause the unit didnt turn on during initial start. i removed the fuse, put it back in, walla. with a 30 day money back guarantee, i was willing to take the risk.

I haven't had much of an issue, I don't think, with the HD radio here. It would flip back and forth from analog to digital, but I did something and it stopped?

Also, it doesn't show me the song title, etc., just the station name. The whole point of HD radio is to get that type of information.

yah, maybe HU's have improved over the years for HD radio, i donno. but pandora is better anyway since i have unlimited data plan on my droid.

and with the pioneers, the audio even through BT sounds very good.
