Found another picture and the car was exactly like mine without a gasket going from the metal to the plastic cowl.
Completely off thread's original question, one semi-useful thing that came out of this is I found another way to check how clean the cabin filter is without taking the glovebox out. You can see how clean or dirty it is when you remove off the battery cover plastic from that same vantage point I took the picture from Not saying that's useful, but a piece of data, FWIW. (To answer the question of what did this have to do with the original thread title about power wire run - this part of the car is exposed when running an amplifier power wire so someone who had run a power wire would have insight into what I was asking) Sorry if it that wasn't clear. |
