Thanks for the Ideas South... checked both my XB1 and my TV. XB1 sound settings have the optical out set as on. Tried both stereo uncompressed and DTS and neither

Thanks for the Ideas South... checked both my XB1 and my TV. XB1 sound settings have the optical out set as on. Tried both stereo uncompressed and DTS and neither provide sound to my bar. My tv only has an SPDIF output option, but it can only be set to PCM, which doesnt work. And no kinks in the cord at all. Im assuming it isnt curved too much as the light is still seen out the other end of the cord before i plug it into the Optical In.
The Search continues.
