What I think you're talking about is displaying Metadata, "Song, Artist, Album, Info, Album art", etc., this is a function of the head units ability (in the case of Android)

What I think you're talking about is displaying Metadata, "Song, Artist, Album, Info, Album art", etc., this is a function of the head units ability (in the case of Android) "SPP" Serial Port Protocol having Metadata in the BT stack.
In the case of iDevices, this is more a single standard and is more likely to be in the head unit, it's in my 2009 Navi. My Navi displays all the text metadata for my iDevices but not for any Android, it doesn't have SPP implemented at all. |
