Has anyone tried to fit a screen in the top compartment?

wondering because i've seen lots of aftermarket navigation installed but none using the "cubby" space

can this be done?

Sure it can be done. Find a good install shop, they can do it.

The cubby door on the base model does not open up to 90 degrees.. so a video viewing is hindered. I am not sure if the base model cubby door can be modified to open greater than 90 degrees.
