Default Epoxy or polyester resin for sub box?

Folks, are people using epoxy or polyester resin to make their sub boxes? Ignoring things like drying time, costs, etc, it looks like the polyester resins are more brittle which may not be desirable. However, I'm also told that epoxy resins get soft at about 140 degrees which seems undesirable when the car is sitting in hot sun.

So, what are other peoples choices for resin and why did they go that way? Also, how many layers of cloth were used, 12 or so?

BTW, I was looking at the US Composites lines of resins.
