Radio sound poor quality

I recently bought a 2010 370z roadster (Bose, sat nav) and when listening to the radio it sounds like listening to a mobile phone (no bass at all and very tinny) even adjusting the sound settings doesn't help. But, when listening to a Cd or the music box the sound is quite good and full of bass. I've searched the forums but can't find an answer, and don't understand why it should be like this? It's spoiling the overall enjoyment of the car as I usually listen to the radio most of the time, but I'm finding that it sounds so bad I have to listen to CD's. any advice greatfully received

I've got the same sound even with an upgraded headunit and after market component setup. But I don't care to listen to the radio I use my tunes on a usb thumb drive and all is good. Maybe its the integrated antenna just not pickup up signals strong enough or the antenna power amp used to amplify such low received signals?

Radio is compressed out the wazoo where as a cd depending on if it's original or burnt is original cd quality. Your going from 16 kbps to between 192-1200 (depending on if it's a burnt disk or original.

Update - having not listened to the radio for over a year, today I put it on by mistake and it works fine now! The only thing I can think of is that last week I had to do an ECU reset after having the battery disconnected. Whatever has caused it I'm happy to have my radio back
