Will 7" speakers fit our doors?
 

I'm want to consider speaker options as broadly as possible.

Anything is possible with cutting and custom installation. Direct fit I do not think so.

^^ I agree. With some serious modifications maybe so. Depends on your speakers. Some just go so deep.

Probably not worth the work. Plenty of good 6.5s on the market.

Hmmm... not sure I agree. All depends on how much effort you want to put into it. I have Dyn MW162s in there now. They're great speakers, but I need to do alot more to the doors to get them where I want them. My guess is probably that I'll end up going with in-door enclosures.

I rebuilt the doors in my Tahoe like 4 times altogether before I finally got them where I wanted them. A lot of work, but the sound was much better after the enclosures. Exodus Anarchys there... looking to maybe do the same in the Z if I don't get what I want out of the Dyns.
