The fronts are Diamond audio speakers with silk dome tweeters (metallic is to harsh). The midbass is a bit weak, so the JL sub somewhat makes up for it. I try to correct it with xover and EQ tweaks, but it's good enough without breaking the bank. The one thing I'm going to miss about the Kenwood unit is the 13-band EQ, and the settings are source dependent.
