Question Question about stereo installation

Hey guys! I'm new in the forum, this is my first post so I hope you be kind

I'm looking to install my Ipad mini and my Pioneer stereo (2 din). But I will like to do that on the Cubby area, starting with the Pioneer Stereo (behind) and then the ipad mini (on top).

Looks like A/C ducts to me. One of the experts should confirm/deny before long.

Edit: You will probably find the FSM to be a very valuable resource for your project(s). See link in my sig.

You are correct they are climate control ducts. Last thing I would be doing is cutting them. If I were you I would do your head unit in the factory location. Not only is it easier but it will stay out of the sun for better visibility as well as better control.

IMO, there is technically room for a tablet in the cubby area. Think about how deep the pocket is, which is nothing for the iPad mini. If you search further, I think at least one owner has done it.

There is not enough room unless you cut your vents out to make room. Lots of people have done screens there just not full head units.

Oh no, I meant putting a tablet in the cubby area - not the head unit.
