door speakers max depth?

Ok i am looking to upgrade my door speakers and i was wondering what the max depth was that's with the Zenclosures spacer !..and yes i search on the forum

Default door speakers max depth?

Ok i am looking to upgrade my door speakers and i was wondering what the max depth was that's with the Zenclosures spacer !..and yes i search on the forum and Google all day it i can't find a solid answer...so can you guys help me here?

Basically with the zenclosure spacer or any spacer that thickness you can pretty much fit any 6.5 speaker you want in there. I have fit the hertz hsk165 larger series in there as well as the image dynamics cxs as well.

Not sure exactly how much space is behind there but I know you shouldn't have a problem.

be careful adding too much of a spacer or you will end up hitting the door grill and can distort the sound. I had to do some interior cutting to get mine to fit
