Jamming traffic speedcams...

This seems to be a great product, well engineered and tested. Expensive but lots of R&D to do this properly and sense the various light sources and NOT to trigger unless it a speed camera. Not sure its legal though. It should have FCC Type acceptance to be that way.

Interesting Corporate philosophy.

Cmike2780 08-28-2013 04:38 PM

I'm pretty sure any type of high powered flash/strobe on a car is not street legal.

jofro6 08-28-2013 05:12 PM

we are already speeding and breaking the law, and half of us have the flashing foglight break light that are all illegal... anyone buying this i dont really think would be worried about it being legal lol

Cbtech 08-28-2013 05:52 PM

I just got a redlight ticket for $450 so had i bought this i would have saved $100...but its a tad bit ugly :icon14:

Drex 08-28-2013 09:03 PM

interesting, pretty cool

mcphelps 08-31-2013 10:52 AM

The ones here are shooting video too, so they can probably figure out your plate with that footage if they really want to.

Zteve 09-01-2013 08:50 AM

save your money and drive like a normal person when you known where the cameras are. not like you can't miss them and it is not gonna kill you to do so. heck even the intersections with red light cameras have signs telling you they are there so IMO it is no one fault but your own if you get a ticket. woudl love to see mythbusters bust this contraption like they did all the rest of the camera defeating stuff out there.

Well my red light ticket was for a right on red and I was going less than 5 mph. Clear intersection and safe to proceed... b-ullshit ticket

redlight camera tickets should be dismissed as the evidence is hearsay. if you didn't fight it, do so next time. there is a superior court president set

In Dallas, they mail you a photo and a link to the video of act. But it's only a $65 ticket here.

Cbtech 09-02-2013 12:24 AM

Same here but it's $460

in that case there usually is a sign that also says no right on red as well. we got a intersection here like that and each person that ignores that sign, get a ticket. if there was no sign, then i agree that is a BS ticket

cv129 09-02-2013 10:36 AM

My first one was 7am in winter, vision was blocked by a talk truck and the rising sun just off the horizon. Got to intersection and light turned red. Locked up front brake and slid into the middle of the intersection. The video captured the lockup and even the smoke, but I just paid the darn ticket, cost me more to fight it.

And cbtech...$460 wow, now that hurts

XiP 09-02-2013 10:43 AM

green laser pointer

You still have to stop first. Rolling through a red light to make a right turn is still "running" a red light, even if it's only 5mph.

1slow370 09-02-2013 08:48 PM

well you could fix video with a constant high powered infrared array, people can't see it but a strong enough IR can wash a camera. I know it can be done with an IR laser which is dangerous as hell, it has to be bright enough to over power the cameras IR filter. Night vision security cameras are owened by IR LEDS.

Radar detector with GPS, I have an Escort haven't gotten hit yet but I am a slow driver in the city cause of stupids.

I have that detector and still got the red light ticket for turning on red.

Chuy 09-03-2013 04:01 PM

You just didn't have any luck that day.

ElVee 09-03-2013 04:40 PM

Hey now, stop on red doesn't always mean stop on red. :)

For normal people, save your money, stop worrying, and drive within the laws. You don't have to worry if you stop when you should stop. It's even *gasp* safer for you and others around you.

L33T Z34 09-08-2013 02:38 AM

always knew people from Jeffco could not spell or speak correctly  probably went to Fox

synolimit 09-09-2013 08:19 PM

I never pay. Cameras are loaned to the city. The company collects the money and a company can't do **** to you!

TripleBlkZ 09-09-2013 09:05 PM

I see this stuff once and awhile. Never used it myself and unsure how well it works but here's the link
No More Red Light Camera Tickets. Make Your Car Invisible To Police Speed Cameras With Our License Plate Cover, PhotoBlocker Spray, Radar Detectors, GPS, GPS Camera Detectors. Got A Traffic Ticket? Don?t Pay Yet. We Can Help Fight Your Speeding Citat

Kind of a stupid web page but it another idea.

Really? Well I never use it myself thought it was pretty stupid but never saw the mythbusters on this. Good to know..

I agree with the previous poster that there is so many signs around these cameras that its hard to miss unless your not looking, driving like an *** or just really bad luck...
