Free cellphone mount

Just discovered that I can wedge my cellphone in between the clock binacle and the upper right corner of the dash cubby. Keeps it snug and basically level sideways, close to my normal field-of-vision. Should be useful for GPS navigation, instead of having to look down at my phone in my lap or hand. :driving:

I'm a cheapskate, so figured I'd pass along this advice for anyone else similarly inclined.

Wouldn't this highly depend on what phone you use....which wasn't stated

I have a Motorola Droid. Yeah, the really old one. But I think bigger sizes might fit too, just adjusted a little more towards the driver. Just wanted to send out the tip in case someone else found it useful and hadn't thought of it.

i run a Droid4. :) but i keep it in my pocket.

lots of folks place their phones in misc places unclipped. not sure if that's a good idea when you get into an accident. that phone is going to become a trajectory and could fly somewhere you can't find it when you most need it to call 911.

That's exactly what happened to mine. Had it in the cup holder and when the accident happened it hit the windshield and cracked it and then got lost under the seat. Couldn't find it for awhile.
