I've done a few installs with the basslink as well. If you are used to JL especially the W7, this thing is really going to disappoint you. I can almost promise that. I would just fork out some cash, get a good amp/sub combo and use an inline converter to tap into the stock system

Dont do it. Basslinks have a really poor quality driver and amplifier section. They sound ok until they clip. You would have much better sound and output with a single 8" component sub and a small 150 watt amp.
