remote wire

I did a search and once again was not able to find what I needed to know. I'm not a fan of this search function...I found a post "Need Help? Let me know!" and posted this same question on it. I didn't notice that it was a NE forum.

Anyhoo, I';m installing new speakers and amps into my car. I would appreciate some help on identifying the remote wire off the stock audio unit. a picture or multiple pictures would be nice.

Thanks

There is no remote wire off the stock head unit. You can ta the switched 12 volt of the stock wiring harness behind the head unit Pin 7 ACC is what you would want. However, lot of people use the 12 volt outlet and tap off that. However if your installing a new head unit that will have a remote out.

The search function works fantastic every time I have used it. Just use simple keywords and that should help.

for the search you can also use google- in the search box just type "site:the370z.com" followed by your search term (without quotes). usually that'll get you the info you're looking for.

The FSM has the wiring diagrams, pinouts, wire colors, &c that you need (Bigaudiofanat's drawing appears to be from the FSM). Link to the download page in in my sig.

The search on this site is usually pretty good but it doesn't seem to work the same as Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, et al (may just be my imagination). Try using the advanced search. It's a bit intimidating the first few times, but allows you to narrow down your search.

Isn't that like the coolest thing ever?! Found that out a year or so ago and was just like " where have you been all my life?"
