Best Method to run LINE for HTC/Andriod base phones to stereo
I decided to get rid of my iPhone and get the new HTC One. Unfortunately, that means I can no longer use my IPHONE connection that came with my head-unit. I have a kenwood Kiv-700 NON BLUETOOTH. I attempted to run a USB line to the unit but the unit appears to search the ENTIRE hard-drive of the phone at a SLOW PACE. It takes 4-5 minutes to pull up anything on the unit, and when it does pull up it appears to have uploaded all the misc folders from phone... POINT BEING, I just want music lol....
Other than the AUX connection, is there anything like an IPOD connection for ANDROID phones where the phone is being charged at the same time and also uploads music more quickly? |
Hello first off welcome to the world of no limits. Your going to love it.
Here are a few head units I can recommend that will give you control over it. The JVC KX-R900BT will allow you to stream and control basic functions such as change song on spotify and other forums of music. If you want full control through your usb port of your android the two head units would allow functionality over a lot of apps. Pioneer app radio 2 and alpine ICS-X7HD which is the one I would recommend would do this. Or if you just want it simple you can use an AUX port and control from your phone itself. I use poweramp for my music. |
yah, you'll need to get another HU.. billet. without BT, you're kinda stuck to using just the audio aux-in, i think unless you want to use the USB.
