Default 2013 370z Door Molex

So I was trying to install my speakers today and got most of the interior taken apart. Then I went to start my speaker install and was trying to figure out how to run the wires though the molex so I watch the install videos and I ran into a problem.

I don't know if I am just not using my head or if the 2013 has a different molex but the male in my car does not look anything like the one in the videos or the ones I have seen in post and I cannot figure out how to get the wire though it.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1371503397.980131.jpg

Is this the normal one or did they change it for 2013?

I am not seeing an easy way of getting my 12 gauge though the molex.

Thanks for any help!

Is this a convertible? I know they use that blank. Pull the rubber back and see if there are wires in all the slots of the green molex location.

Also no need for 12 gauge man, go with 16 gauge way easier and you can still run plenty of power through it.

It is not a convertible. It seems that I can get the whole plastic connector apart. How do I do that. And I already have all the 12 gauge ku wire from my pervious car.

There should be a clip releasing the plastic assembly around the molex connector, after that just pull the rubber grommet off the white section to look at the back.

you're going to HATE your life if you use larger speaker wire than 16 gauge while routing it through the plug and rubber boot. also id suggest using a water based wire lube to get through the boot.

Wire Lube

I have a 2013 sport. I used the rubber grommet behind the molex connector. Then just ran the wire through the door boot and siliconed both ends. worked great for me.

I have been trying to find molex pins.

Look forward to seeing what you end up doing!

I just completed a speaker install on a 2013 sport version. Lots of the molex connector has no pins or wires in it which I was able to Dremel through. Its easiest to see what's going on if you unclip the cover on the molex connector and slip off the rubber boot to get to the connector back and wires.

Well just finished up the install.

Seems I left my Bit Ten D setup CD in my old car when I traded it in so I am trying to find the downloads right now.

Could not find molex pins so ended up just dremeling a hole big enough for the speaker wire.

Thanks for the suggestion to use wire lube really helped out a lot!

Now time to spend hour after hour tuning!

Thanks for the help!

Must of been right before they switched over. Or the OP's could have an extra add on that takes up that blank.Time will tell.
