Default 370Z Speaker Setup

Does anyone have any concrete info on the speaker setup for the 370z?

I believe the 350z had 6.5" fronts with 1.5" tweeters along with another set of 6.5"'s in the back and even a blose sub in the back center. I understand that the "Touring" model will have the "nicer" Bose system, but the sizing would still be the same I'd assume. Regardless, I will cut the frame to make them fit, I just hope there's enough depth where I don't have to build serious MDF baffles again.

If this is the case, putting rear speakers in would kill the soundstage. A quality set of 6.5" components in the front and a solid subwoofer in the back would do the trick. I would love to fit the sub enclosure under that crossbar and have the amps mounted right behind the seats. That'd look awesome and with such a small cabin, sound as amazing as my RSX-S does with a full eD stereo.

Oh ok, so it's like the RSX then in that sense. I'll definitely be taking that out for some weight reduction haha. I just hope that the navigation market improves a bit by then. There are few systems that have high preout voltages and good navigation, most are one or the other.

from looking at it in person the sub is ontop of the spare, maybe screwed into it or something. i hope your can remove the spare and still have the sub as i usually remove the spare for 'weight reduction'

the sub is ON TOP of the spare? so when u go to get the spare, you have to un plug and remove the sub? that wouldnt be a smart design at all. I've seen pictures with the spare removed and theres what looks like a sub lying face down. i'll try to find pics.

Oiy... I don't like that. That wouldn't be a good design... May have to custom something out because I'd rather run on run-flats than have the spare under the sub.

On top of that, I would be leaving the sound system stock. That's usually the LAST thing I mod. So I hope the system sounds good...

A thought I had was maybe the spare tire acts as part of the sub.... Like a sub box. Probably not... Just bad designing.

Ok I found the picture. Judging by this picture, the sub woofer is face down, UNDER where the spare tire goes.

Looking at this video, it looks like it's above the spare tire... Though, not sure which direction it's pointing.

oh my bad. yeah its definately on top of the spare. what a retarded design. i guess nissan thought we'd be more likely to upgrade the sub woofer than use the spare tire...??

I think they are trying to save trunk space by using the space that would be otherwise wasted inside the spare wheel... I think its ingenious... don't see why you think it is "retarded".

well, because if all our facts are right, you'll have to remove the sub to get to the spare. i don't see any wires or connectors or pivoting arm in the picture, so i'm not exactly sure how this is gonna work.

I have a feeling the sub wont be hard to remove to get to the tire...it shouldn't be a problem. Remember, smart engineers designed this car...

I thought there were 2 subs in the car?

Specs say 8 speaker system.

2 in front, 2 tweets, 2 in rear, and dual subs? I am guessing it's the amp in the spare tire for the subs.
