Default Light weight setup?

Looking to upgrade from the stock Bose. I will rewire the car. Thinking of a double din (haven't decided on which one), light weight component speakers in the front only, and a subwoofer box that is stealth like and easily removable for racing. Leaning towards a 3 or 5 channel amp. Any recommendations?

As far as head units go.... I only want a double that flips because it looks cleaner and you get a larger display, nav I don't care about.

My last setup was in my Titan with a JL13W7 and JL 1000/1 amp and loved it but it won't fit in the Z. I want something that hits hard and I'm Leary of the shallow mount subs. (I know, hitting hard and light weight are oxymorons, hence the box being easily removable).

Maybe a RE Audio XXX 8/10" sub? Or another W7?

I've never had component speakers but my buddies Infinity Kappa Perfects sound great.

a XXX wont be light weight bro, lol.. i thought about throwing my oldschool RE MX 12" in, but i don't want do add that much weight either. plus, dont think RE makes the XXX in less than a 12 unless its new, but still if i remember the 12" XXX weighs over 50lbs.

do a sundown sa-8 or 8w7 if you want to save weight. ths sundown will give you SPL, the w7 spl/sq. the sundowns like ported as well

edit: i have an 8w7, and xd600.1 amp waiting to go in to mine, in front of the spare tire in that dead space area.

I know the subs aren't low weight, hence needing a box that is easily removable lol

if it was me, i'd go with Focal stuff up front, throw this Custom Sub Enclosure | Affordable Sub Box in the back with some velcro strips to keep it from sliding.. hide amp for front speakers behind seat or stuff it in front of the spare tire with sub amp and re-q. headunit i dont know much about, though. i have nav, and my last 3 builds were all LOC style with stock HU to keep prying eyes away

If I had to do a removable setup I would highly recommend using alpine PDX amps, as they have plug in's for all their connections for easy removal. If your looking for a lightweight system, you can always simply amp a set of hertz HSK 165's and not have to worry about any sub as they give you solid performance.
