Bypass Kit (switch) Car Kit Company
I am looking at ordering the Bypass Kit (switch).
Has anyone installed it? How hard was it to install? Could this void the warranty? My main reason is to use the rear camera while driving. |
Works great, very easy to install. I cant see how this would void the warranty, if you are worried just pull it out before you take it in, its all reversible.

I recommend the search function, fellow Austinite :tiphat:
There are lots of people who have done it for their aftermarket HUs, so I would check the A/V section of the forum first. I'm sure its not too difficult, but your comfort level is a huge factor when deciding to DIY or not. It will not void any warranty, but it might be illegal (anyone knowledgeable on this subject?). |
Are you talking about the NavTool??

wow, that's cool for those with factory navs.
|
The switch he ships with them is the exact same as the heated switch seats. Pop out the black spot between the two existing switches and pop this one in, no one is the wiser.

You can see the switch in this picture, lol. It is the best I have.

Where were you doing?
|
I am going to assume you mean what was I doing. Take a look at the link in my sig. That was all the wiring for the gauges and traction control.
|
if the circuit requires a toggle switch, why not just go the entire mile and get one of these?
brake bypass | eBay then it should be fully automatic. |
