Default Door Speakers Bose w/o Nav Pics

I took a few pics and measurements of the door speaker while I was tinting my windows this weekend. Crutchfield states none of their 6x9's will fit for varies reasons. I might disagree with some of the measurements I took, although the screw holes may not match up perfectly. If not, perhaps a top plate could be constructed to make the installation easier.

Speaker top to bottom 9"
Speaker left to right 6.25"
Top part of speaker frame depth about .75"
Full depth of speaker 3 1/8"
Top part of speaker to 2nd drop in the frame basket 2.25"
Magnet width 1.75"

Depth from top of speaker mount to window frame 3.25"
Top depth of speaker mount molding .75" --- this may require some cutting
but looks to keep water off the speaker
Bottom depth of speaker mount 3"

Thanks man this helps me a lot before I do some of the installs. You will need a spacer to get a good size speaker in there.

No. I believe I read on another post it's in the amp or closer to the amp area. Not sure. I'd like to stick with 6x9's, so if we could create that spacer...I would think 6x9's would put out more thumping base up front than some 6.5's.

I would not put 6x9's in the front plenty of space there for a nice 6.5 and than the tweeter in the dash why go with coaxial speakers when you can go component.

I like a lot of treble and listen to mostly electronic music. The stock tweeters on the dash can't handle the music I listen to. So I was thinking the 6x9s for deeper bass down there plus some treble...and either another 3.5" coaxial in the corner (if it were to fit) or separate tweeters.

Well that is good and all but a 6.5 wil give you a more even sound than a 6X9, and IMO sound better as well.
