Custom Sub Box Install
I purchased a 10W6 from a fellow forum member and was looking at the wicked corner sub box set up. After a little research I found that it wouldn't fit this sub without a spacer. So I checked with a local installer to see if I could get something that was stealth and keep enough room to still store gym bags etc in the back.
I found a custom box fabricator Gately Audio that has been here in Sacramento for over 12 years and so I told him what I wanted and he went to work. This was a spare tire delete option since that's what roadside rescue is for. Below is the outcome. 6.jpg 7.jpg 5.jpg You can see he made it so I can keep my cargo Hooks installed. 2.jpg 4.jpg 3.jpg 1.jpg I was surprised that there was so much room in the back end. I am still in the process of tuning the amps so i haven't mounted them yet. Last edited by Cbtech; 04-08-2013 at 05:25 PM. |

Thank you. its also really solid you could throw a bolling ball on the grill and it wouldnt hurt the sub. I'm really surprised how hard the one sub hits. I couldnt imagine 2 of these in the back...that would make someone ill.

Very nice. I went with the wicked corner enclosure. But I like this a lot better. I had Paradyme do my install. They're also really good. You upgrade the other speakers yet?

Thanks! Did some tuning on the sub and amp today and the box is solid, no vibrations or noises. I also have a muffler delete which was fairly loud but this blocks most of the sound. I think I will be gmatting the rest of the trunk even still.

they only made the box but there are no fans in there. I have run the amps pretty hard but and havent had any issues with over heating yet. There is quite a bit of room in there that I would assume it would allow air to rise through the edges. Time and summer will tell if it gets too hot in there and I would have to make something up to move the hot air out.
