I rarely had the radio on when I had my stock head unit so I can't really compare before and after.
Maybe in the future when I add deadening to the trunk and get an aftermarket exhaust.

Any deals for forum members? I bought 10 sq ft last summer and could probably use more.

I think sound deadening in a 370z is more than worthwhile. I know some like the sound of the car as part of the driving experience, but I like to listen to music or converse with greater frequency than listening to the roar of exhaust. Plus, I can always lower a window and I get the sound effects back.
One place were the deadening made a HUGE effect was over the wheel wells. The Z really throws up a lot of grit and small road debris and I got tired of the "pinging" sound. The butyl film helped a bunch. I was thinking of finishing it off with the exterior paint on material. Not sure if anyone has done this and how much difference it makes. Also, what about durability? |

I was going to buy Second Skin but just saw your bumped post. Can you "sell" me on why I should use your product over others? I only plan to put some under the carpet of my driver's seat, passenger seat, feet well and trunk (might not do where spare is depending on how easy I can get this stuff installed and if the material will ooz out and tarnish my spare). What material or series do you recommend for my hot Houston TX heat sq ft needed and the price shipped to 77067.
and I just clicked you quick link, how do I get free sample so I may see/feel the material? Thanks Last edited by YzGyz; 07-11-2013 at 10:33 PM. |

As far as selling you on our products, I'll do my best. GT Sound has created both discount and premium products at far lower prices than even the leading discount brand. We back our products with a warranty and aim to please the customer. We provide live customer service, free shipping, discounts to forum members, and even new product testing opportunities for customers. We are based in Texas so your money would be kept local, shipping would be next day, and our products have been tested in employee vehicles in the same Texas heat that your Z experiences. If you want a quote on the Quadro, let me know. I can also quote our Onyx butyl product. |

PMed my addy
Can you go into detail on why you think the Quadro or Onyx lne is preferred over the others? (yes I know the some about your product but just pretends I know nothing. This way, we don't pass up any info that I was "suppose to know.") Please send me a quote with the breakdown for those products. (sq ft needed for trunk, door, foot well and under seat. will cover x layers) Thanks |

Onyx - We were getting requests for a true butyl product so we made one. Onyx is the same deadener as that leading brand but at a much lower price. Their website lists a 36sq ft for $340 and ours retails for $119.99. |
