static noise when turned on!!!
 

Hi guy, I just installed an after market JVC HU, speaker, amp and sub, it sounds great but when i truned the car ON, there is a "static noice coming out the speakers.
I checked all my cables and none of them are touching anything.

any one have any idea what could it be?

If it increases and decreases with rpm, it's a bad ground. If it's just a loud static, turn your amp down and adjust the gain properly.

Also check for loose rca cables ESPECIALLY if you have Y-adapter cables in the line. My speakers get static sometimes and I always go back there and push the Y-adapter cables together and it fixes it.
