Did you make this en closer + install the the subs yourself? I have been debating on a system for the Z, but have always ran into the trunk space

Also did you have an amp installed?

I am interested in you making me one of your boxes for the 2 8 inch subs and would you be able to do it out of fiberglass to keep the weight down?

Reviving an old thread here. This set-up is just awesome. Is the OP still around?

Hey guys sorry I have been MIA for quite a while. I have the Z out for the summer so if anyone has questions I can answer them now. I am hesitant on getting dimensions since it is a PITA to get the box out. I suppose on my next day off I could measure for everyone. Let me know.

i dont think any dimensions will be of benefit to those wanting to build a stealth box Reason is the shape of the area where you will fit the enclosure - it's like a trapezium with wavey short sides. To get the basic shape, trace the short flap end if your boot mat (ie the side that fits in front of the strut towers but between the rear glove box plastics. This will be the lid of your sub box but you'll need to get the sander and jigsaw out to trim this piece to fit (remember, it's wood, not floppy carpet so to get the thing to sit flush you will need to trim it smaller to squeeze it in).

The rest is up to you - building a box is pretty straight forward but follow my posts on page 2 for some tips.

OP's one is super neat, i love it. I sold my Z with my enclosure still
naked MDF. I just put the boot mat over it and the amp

Is it possible to get the foam piece out with damaging it or removing body panels? I've never really taken a good look at it.

The big foam piece that normally sits where the OP placed his sub box. On my '12 NISMO, there's a big piece of foam there (I assumed it came on every model).

oh! the beam! Nah man, no chainsaws required. It lifts out really easily. No finangling required. If you have Bose audio or satellite radio i think, you'll find the Bose amp and satellite radio units under the foam beam. Bose is in the middle, radio on the right hand side. Here in Aussieland we dont get sat radio so we just have to deal with the Bose amp - which isnt too much of an issue because the harness is just long enough to be coaxed underneath the plastic covers to the left of the rear strut brace, over the hump and allow you to relocate the amp to the left side of your new enclosure. If you prefer a more stealthy relocation then you'll need to chop and extend the wiring.

But all it needs is for you to unmount it off the steel bracket (4x 10mm bolts) then use a large self tapping screw to fix one corner of it to your enclosure lid. Then lay the boot mat over it.

Foam beam comes with all 370's afaik

Default Nicely done

Very cool!

I may try to do a single 8" Just want to fill in the low end some, as well as, replace the stock door speakers.

I am doing mine now and should be done with everything tomorrow 5/25/15.
It looks a little different than his. I was going for the same thing but figured I just have one Alpine 8 inch DVC Type R and also 6.5 Alpine Type R 6.5 components far to each side. Yes I know the whole staging deal. I figure it's a small car so whatever. I have Polk DB6501s in the front ( I didn't like the way the 6.5 type Rs crossover set up) , a PDX V9 amp and an Alpine IVE W555BT head unit. It is nothing crazy really, but I know I will like it and it's all stealth too which is what I want.
