Here are some pics of it installed. The prongs go all the way in. I wouldnt shave them down.

just find the right place to push through.

I'll do my best, though I am not using an invisicord. Do you have a multimeter?

Most likely the black wire is ground. From there, figure out which wire is switched power (i.e. +12V when the ignition is in the on position). Once you've confirmed those two wires, jam the invisicord wires into those slots and you should be good to go?

If you don't have a multimeter, go get a cheap one from Harbor Freight or something. It's an extremely valuable tool to have.
