Manufacturers take a lot of liberties when they advertise thier Max Power of thier subs/amps, but the RMS is what matters. I have 500w RMS going to an 8" sub

Manufacturers take a lot of liberties when they advertise thier Max Power of thier subs/amps, but the RMS is what matters. I have 500w RMS going to an 8" sub and it sounds great and I don't even crank the gain up. You start getting over 1000w RMS just for a sub, Its a little overkill, you'll start rattling your beautiful Z apart.
