I looked for many hours on these forums to find a comprehensive guide on how to run the power wire and didnt have any luck, I found the beginning and the end of the wire. So hopefully this guide will help others.
Products - 4AWG Power Wire, Streetwires fuse holder, 80 AMP Fuse, Streetwires 4AWG ring terminals ![]() Step 1 - Mount the fuse holder, I found an empty hole to mount it to. ![]() Step 2 - Cut a length of wire to run from the battery to the fuse holder ![]() Step 3 - Run the wire around the back of the battery and push it through the grommet in the corner of the battery bay. ![]() Step 4 - Feed the wire down the passenger side footwell, be sure to take off the door sil panel and the front quarter panel to run the wire. ![]() Step 5 - Run the wire through the stock wire holder along side the factory harness. ![]() Step 6 - Feed the wire behind the panel that has the rear speaker in it, the wire will come out where the factory harness comes out in the rear hatch area. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Very cool. I was just going to post a question on how much wire was needed to run from the battery to the center of the hatch. So...how many feet did you need?

All power wire kits come with an O ring for the end, so you can simply remove your battery terminal nut slide the O ring on and tighten it back down. I would only advice moving the fuse holder a little further away from the battery terminal.

Just very close to the terminal, the fuse block could eventually start rubbing on the metal of the terminal and short out. I just like to be cautious.
