connect system to stock stereo?
 

I have a 10" sub and 600 watt amp but the stock stereo in my Z. Can I hook it up to the stock one or do I have to buy an after market stereo.

Yes, use a simple LOC or if the amp has speaker level inputs tap into your speaker wires behind the head unit and run your RCA's back to your new amp.
