hey everyone, I'm planing on getting the Clarion CX501 Double-din receiver, and was hoping to use the axxess kit. but do you guys think it will work on this head

hey everyone, I'm planing on getting the Clarion CX501 Double-din receiver, and was hoping to use the axxess kit. but do you guys think it will work on this head unit? it doesn't mention clarion on the website, only (pioneer, sony, alpine, ken wood, eclipse, JVC) and even though it says that it may work with "others" as well, I'm afraid it may not. i was wondering if anyones tried the axxess kit with with other brands that aren't pioneer, sony, alpine, ken wood, eclipse or JVC? or is it basically a universal harness with any aftermarket head unit?
