Default Pioneer AVH-X4500BT

Ok, as I'm installing the new Pioneer, the Crutchfield kit included an antena adapter. When I pull out the stock non-Bose stero, there is nothing on the back for an antena conections. So if I install this on the new Pioneer, where does it go to in the car? There are not visible male to female antena connections. I'm lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Time to pop the bubblies and prep for the festival.

I know the questions I'm asking seem simple, but this is the first stereo I've installed.

The reason this is the case is because the 370z (like the 350) has an external amplifier for radio reception which requires power. If you don't hook up a 12v lead to it, your reception will be absolutely terrible. Just a quite note in case someone ends up searching this thread later.

Thanks for the input. I finally got the system in. Still ended up with two extra screws LOL, but so far seems like everything but the DVD/APPs option is working. I didn't splice the e-brake sensor wire in since I'm going to go with the bypase module next week. BTW, grounding the green bypass wire DID NOT work on this unit.

I have the pioneer AVH P4300 and I used a 5 pin relay for the parking brake by-pass to work correctly

Only works for the kenwood as far as I know.

Also hope you bought the warranty for your pioneer. Could have problems next year.

I certainly hope you're not still hung up on the pico fuse thing. 99% of those problems were operator error, caused by people pulling RCA's with the head powered up. I have used and installed Pioneer products for nearly 30 years, and have yet to come across One. And I've installed literally hundreds of their units.
By the way, they are not the only outfit that uses them, FYI

Just to satisfy my curiosity, what have you proven about pioneer, and where can I see it?

Not just pico fuse but cd's not ejecting all the way, displays failing or not contacting correctly after time, internal BT failing, poor quality ipod cables, mic echo no matter where mic is located.

Just search around the audio forums. They are all there. There use to be a HUGE thread on car audio.com with countless back and forth about the quality of pioneer, some love them a lot hated them.

Here is one locally.

Bluetooth gone on X920BT??

IMO I have never had really good luck with them. I have even had other respected installer agree with me on their quality. Have I had no problems with a lot of the pioneer units I have installed? Of course I still do not care for them.

I can find that same info on EVERY brand just as easily.
Don't get me wrong, I'm no pioneer fanboy by any means, it just steams me when I see someone bash an entire product line because THEY had a problem (most self-inflicted) with the single item they had.
Maybe its me. Maybe part of it is from seeing so many posts where the person says "I just got this Brand x stereo, and It wouldn't power up. Brand x blows, I'll never buy it again" 2 days later he reposts, "lol, I had the black and red wires hooked up wrong. my bad" Well, 1000 others already came across that post, and also now hate brand x, never returning to read the updated post.
Perfect example right here in this forum.... OP installs clarion H.U, and has minor trim ring issue, but loves the unit. He gets recommendations to trash it and go with a different brand. Why, over a $12 dash kit? BS
On a side note, How do you bash a product in here, and tomorrow someone comes and wants you to install one in their car? Do you tell them the $500 radio they just bought is junk, but you'll put it in anyway? doesn't seem too business savvy
