wiring that came with unit splices into new harness (they should be color-matched) which plugs (male) into factory plug(female)

not a wise choice, due to moisture concerns. you can basically put them anywhere in the cabin of the car. back at amp, behind seat, under seat, behind kickpanels, under dash, ect, ect.

If I have a kenwood headunit can I ground the parking brake wire directly to the body without a relay?

Default Crossover location

Some have luck locating the componet crossovers behind the kick panel. Their is the fuse box in the driver's side and the ECU on the passenger side.

do you guys know if i can keep the stock speaker wires for the front doors even tho i changed the speakers and changed the wires going to the crossover from the headunit, i feel like it would be an extreme pain in the *** to run new wires threw the door.
