I did this awhile back and I was told it is impossible to do this. Sorry to hear you are in the same boat. I had to get a ride to my house to get the other fob to unlock. Other than that, if you are in a jam, a coat hanger to the unlock button should do the trick but you chance ripping the window seal apart.

I just bought this car and I only have one fob. My 370z opens with the button on the door handle but theres a certain way you have to hit that button. these cars are supposed to not be able to lock the keys in the car. That was told specifically by nissan that it was like that. Im not sure about infiniti. Im sure its the same system. Its pointless to have that button there otherwise.

Your gf isn't still inside the car right?...just making sure.
Where is the fob exactly? The button unlocks the doors when the fob is close by. I don't think you have to enter a code or hit it a certain way for it to work. Just need to be close by with the fob.

I just tried locking my key in my Altima. It warns you the key is still in the car, and even if you lock the door from the inside before closing it, you should be able to push the button on the door to get in.

Just tried it. With the windows down of course. She must have manually locked it from the inside. The smart key button won't lock/unlock with the fob inside. It has to be outside the car for that button on the handle to work.

That's so weird! I have left my key fob inside my car many many times when leaving and I press the lock button and my car will not lock. It makes several quick beeps to alert you the fob is inside your car and your car will not lock.
Your car should not lock if your car detects the fob is inside your car. Maybe your batteries are low? |

It will lock if you hit the lock button on the inside...next to the handle.

hum! had no idea! LOL I guess I never developed the habit of manually pressing on the door lock buttons on the doors but instead always using the key less entry fob (for all my cars)
A lesson to all! never develop the habit of manually locking your doors! LOL! |

exactly what i thought cmike. I told the bittch she locked the fuggin door mabe on accident or something and then she closed the door. iv never had a problem with my 370. this same girl locked all 4 keys in the trunk of my convertible 350z i used to have all at one time. That was a nightmare because i had a custom sound system installed in the interior so i didnt have a trunk releanse and the rubber button on top of the license plate didnt work. women mannnnnn!
