No. Now days people actually record in 4, 5, or more channel audio due to the demand for hd and surround sound. I can't agree that 2 speakers is ever better than 4.

Makes more sense that a well done 2CH + sub in a 2 seater is far better than a colliding 4CH.

Tapatalk & such etc

Yes concerts, dolby, DTS and so on encoded DVD's and SACD's, but a normal cd is reordered in 2 channel stereo.

If you really want to get technical some stuff is recorded in mono and mixed to be stereo.

I am kind of a audio nut.

sorry for the delayed response.. I got Infinity 329CF 105W Peak 3-1/2 -Inch Custom Fit ... from Amazon.

I dont feel they are blasting in my ear at all, just very good fill all around.

If you your goal is SQ, and want rear fill in Z (small interior), the SQ approach would be to have delays set up for the rears. Not easy to execute unless you have high quality processing and components. In the end, the sq approach is really for the discerning ear and for top end car audio competition. If you just want to enjoy the music and have a decent rear fill, the 3.5" rear is not a good option. A good 5.25 hi quality 2 way or component is a good way to go.
