you dont need any part to put the panels back on.. theres no wiring for the rear speakers so you will have to run the wiring... i want to say there were screw holes for attaching the speakers on the panels.. I dont know if 6.5's will work w/out any customization ..

I used 3.5" ...

Yeah only 3.5's fit back there, you would have to do a lot of customizing to fit 6.5's. Bigaudiofanatic makes speaker pods that fit in the back cubbys behind your seat, that might be something to look into.

If you have not upgraded your front speakers yet I recommend you do them first, as some find that rears are not needed after that upgrade. I for one do not recommend rears in the Z.

3.5's will not last higher in the volume range because of their size.

Please search for threads about rear speakers.

Default 370Z rear speaker placement

I replaced the stock speakers in the stock door panels and dash (base model without the Bose audio set-up) for better sound for the music I listen to.

I added a small 8" sub located in the rear hatch area along with a amp and signal processor. The signal processor has time delay along with controlling the various speakers crossovers (i.e. active set-up) between the front (mid-bass & tweeters) and the sub. Check out the DIYMA web site for additional reviews.

P.S. I found in best to listen to various speakers in the stock 370Z location if at all possible in order to decide on the best speakers that sound good to you!

My set-up is posted in this forum if your interested.
