Default HELP: Aftermarket Headunits in 370Z (2009)

Hi all
I am looking at getting a 2009 370Z GT

How much work is it to change the whole headunit / screen changed as part of the headunit is part of the heating controls? see pic below

Reason for getting this is because I have got my Full JL Audio stuff to go in, I would prefer to have Ipod control through the headunit which is not posible with my current standard unit.

if you have pictures and info on your setup would be great!

Thanks

This might be a tough project. As the entire wiring harness for the setup in your picture is different from all other 370z (non navigation units). I thought even the 2009 models had an iPod connection with the navigation system in the center arm rest? Later models came with a USB connection to support other devices.

OP please search for threads, this has been talked about.

Simply put it would be to expensive and you would have to change way to much to add it to the car. Same thing with removing it.

You would need "off the top of my head"

Nav and center
bose system
nav antenna
bt module
all bose speakers
all new wiring harnesses installed in the car

This may help you a lot as well:

Is it possible to take this all out and replace it with the cubby hole type in the top, I know the heater controls are different but wondered if it's a straight swap and everything working property?
