E-Parking Brake Bypass Switch

Hi to all,

Has anyone used an Emergency Parking Brake Bypass Switch so you can see your DVD while driving? Got a 2012 370z Roadster.

Thanks!

If you are installing an aftermarket DVD player you don't need to actually connect it to the e-brake. On Kenwood units just ground the signal wire. If you had connected it to the e-brake it gets grounded when the brake is on. I simply grounded mine to the radio chassis with one of the existing screws and a crimp on ring terminal, works perfectly.

I've tried that in the past on my Pioneers, but the HU would give error messages at times. It needs to be grounded in a certain timing sequence, otherwise it would not register as grounded.

So I added a rocker switch (one of the 3 blanks) on my Z and flick that on/off, on my other cars I bought the timed relays aka grounding kit.
